Diablo 3: Immortal Switch Release Date Still a Mystery

Blizzard's Diablo series has been a staple of action RPG enthusiasts for years, with the latest installment being Diablo Immortal. Fans have been eager to know if the game would be available on the Nintendo Switch, but unfortunately, it seems that this dream is still far from becoming a reality.

Back in 2018, during BlizzCon, fans asked Blizzard's Matthew Burger about the possibility of Diablo Immortal coming to the Switch. In response, Burger confirmed that yes, the game was indeed planned for release on the handheld console. However, since then, there has been little to no updates from Blizzard regarding the Switch version.

In a post-BlizzCon 2019 thread on Reddit, Lead Designer Wyatt Cheng dampened fans' hopes by stating that a Switch version of Diablo Immortal is not currently planned. Cheng did acknowledge that many fans are still eager for a Switch release, but at this point in time, it seems that Blizzard has no plans to bring the game to Nintendo's console.

When asked about controller support and casting the game's visuals to a TV during BlizzCon, Wyatt Cheng mentioned that both features would be looked into, but no promises were made. Fans are still hoping for more news on these fronts, as well as any potential updates on a Switch release date.

Despite the lack of progress on the Switch front, Diablo Immortal is still expected to bring its dark and action-packed gameplay to fans around the world when it releases later this year. For those who are eager to get their hands on the game but don't have access to PC or mobile devices, the wait may be a bit longer for them.
